Halloween movies is right around the corner, but the excitement of ingeniously scary costumes, haunted decorations, spooky cocktails, and trick-or-treats would be tainted with wariness this year.

As the threat of Covid-19 is still present. So many of us may not celebrate Halloween movies with its usual trappings.

However, this Halloween movies doesn’t have to be all gloom.

We can still have a spooky Halloween while practicing Social Distancing, avoid getting into crowded places, and wearing masks for our protection.

One of the ways to celebrate Halloween movies, especially when you plan on staying home and avoiding parties while also ensuring that your kids have a great time,

you can get them to binge-watch the following fun-fueled Halloween movies

Frankenweenie

This is one of the masterpieces by Tim Burton and Disney that tells the story of a highly intelligent and young scientist, Victor Frankenstein, and his dog, Sparky. They live in the town of New Holland.

Victor’s father is very concerned about his son’s quiet nature and he encourages Victor to play baseball so that he can be admired by everyone for stuff other than science. 

Little did he know that the game would end up as the reason for his dog’s death, which will give him the biggest grief of his life. 

Yet he gets inspiration with one of the experiments from his science teacher on reviving his beloved dog, who demonstrates the effects of electricity on dead frogs.

Victor attempts to experiment the same on his dead dog and bring it back to life. 

The movie is amazing, especially if your kids are fond of animals and you want to teach your kids how to use their knowledge to help their pets and love them if you have any at home.

Casper

A paranormal therapist named Harvey is always on the hunt and in pursuit of connecting with the ghost of Harvey’s late wife, Amelia.

Harvey’s daughter, Kat, resents her father’s obsession with the ghost of Amelia and his reputation as a paranormal therapist. 

The father-daughter duo moves into a notoriously haunted manor known as Whipstaff, which allegedly holds a hidden treasure. 

There they find Casper and his poltergeist uncles, the Ghostly Trio, who have been haunting the mansion for a long time. 

Casper aims to win the Harveys’ affection while the Ghostly trio tries to scare them off the property.

However, the scary attempts fail and the family eventually befriend Casper and discover the secrets of the hidden treasure in the manor. 

The movie is a pack full of amazing surprises and crazy comical scenes that your kids would enjoy on Halloween movies.

Hotel Transylvania

After the unfortunate death of his wife, Martha, Count Dracula decides to build a massive 5-star hotel that hosts all kinds of monsters, ghosts, ghouls, witches, and other supernatural beings.

The hotel serves as a massive safe-haven for otherwordly beings, away from the eyes of angry humans, who the monsters fear for their violence. 

At Hotel Translyvania, they can enjoy a vacation and have a nice time together.

Things change, when Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, falls in love with a human named Jonathan “Johnny” Loughran, who unwittingly finds his way to the Hotel Transylvania, discovers who its customers are. 

Now Dracula and his fellow monsters including Frankenstein along with his wife named Eunice, Wayne and Wanda’s huge werewolf family,

the Mummy Murray, the Invisible Man Griffin, and many other monster allies ensure their secret is safe from the human eyes.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

A giant ravaging beast is destroying carrot plots and farm produce in the town, spoiling the preparations for Tottington Hall’s much-awaited annual Giant Vegetable Competition.

Lady Tottington appoints, Wallace who runs ‘Anti-Pesto’, a pest-control business, along with his dog, Gromit, to track the beast and protect the town’s vegetables. 

But the beast is no other than Wallace as a result of one of his anti-pest mission gone wrong.

Wallace inadvertently transforms into a giant were-rabbit when the moon rises, who plagued the village and destroys the vegetables.

Now Wallace and Gromit with the help of Hutch, a rabbit with Wallace’s traits, must save themselves from the machinations of Lord Victor Quartermaine, the curse of the Were-Rabbit, and also save the village and restore its peace.

These movies are going to make you and your kids’ Halloween movies an amazing experience, and banish the gloom of pandemic.

I’ll suggest that you add more movies to the marathon by setting a theme in your home.

And run it using a portable projector and invite their friends as well.

Make sure that you practice social distancing and wear masks, which you can ingeniously disguise as a Halloween movies costume.
