With the current growth of social media and its influence on our daily lives and purchases, it would be backward not to consider being an influencer as a career option. Instagram influencer platform has become yet another advertising and marketing plot devise, but the personal touch of an influencer makes it genuine and effective.

All in all, being an Instagram influencer is a lucrative career with a lot of other benefits. But breaking into the influencer market is not as easy as it sounds. It depends on many factors; the follower count, the engagement; basically, your Instagram growth in your respective niche.

A One-Person Start-Up

To call Instagram influencer a one-person start-up, in regards to a career path, would not be an exaggeration. It is a competitive space, and many people are waiting in queue to take that space if you can’t keep up. For brands to pay you as an influencer for the advertisements, you must have a huge audience and an excellent content creation skill; whether it be photography, videography or illustration. Influencers must have a stronghold in their community and a friendly and helpful relationship with their followers.

It is not just that; once the collaborations and advertisements come in, you have to handle negotiations, create targeted content, monitor trends and analyze statistics. To break out as an influencer and have a profitable career, you should be dedicated, passionate and hard-working.

Misconceptions of Lucrativeness

The most difficult thing as an influencer is breaking from the shell of your hobby and handling it as a career. It takes a lot of effort and hard work to get paid for advertisements as most of the brands only send the product and don’t pay for creating the content. As long as the misconception of being an influencer is a hobby prevails, it would be really hard for people to take Instagram influencer as a career option and for brands to recognize that. On top of all that, it is a highly exploitative market where most influencers don’t realize the worth of their brand.

Thus, until certain misconceptions are abolished, it is highly unlikely for people to take influencers easily. But with the current of time, anything is possible. Until then, Instagram influencers have to work extra hard to establish themselves and to turn their hobbies into lucrative careers.

Keeping Up with The Times & Trends

With each passing year, we are stepping into a more digital age. Companies and brands are not only shifting their marketing strategies but also looking to recruit more influencers. The charm of influencers is their aspiration. Their beautiful feeds attract us, and their pretty outfits make us want to own those things too.

With these changing times and themes, if companies won’t shift their focus on to the digital landscape, they risk losing their customers and appeal. A lot of people are shopping online now, and if your product and website are not easily accessible, or attractive online, you risk losing a lot of potential customers. Thus, to say the least, Instagram influencers are the future of marketing strategies and their influence ill only increase.
