Eligibility

Age limit

There are a limited number of attempts I.e. 6 attempts for this examination post which one is not considered eligible for the exam.

Educational Qualifications

RBI Grade B Educational qualifications are different for each post. Here are the details:

  • Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General)

Bachelor’s degree in any specialization from a recognized University with at least a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade.

  • Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR

Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics /Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with at least a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

  • Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM

Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Statistics & Informatics/Econometrics with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

Selection Process

The selection process of RBI Grade B will take place in three stages

  • Preliminary examination
  • Mains Examination

The RBI Grade B Cut off is released along with the RBI Grade B result. There is a minimum qualifying mark that one needs to achieve to qualify for the RBI Grade exam. The RBI Grade B cut off depends on various factors like the total no. of vacancies, total no. of applicants, and certainly the difficulty level of the exam. The RBI Grade B Cut off for every year is more or less similar and lies in the bracket of 40%-45% of the total marks.

The RBI does release the exam answer key before the announcement of the result, doing this the authority infuses more transparency in the recruitment process. The RBI Grade B result is generally announced within 3 weeks of the examination.
